Nothing soothes the soul, like the sound of a chime in the wind.
Tower of Peace 8 Tube Chime
This is my rendition of the Peace Tower located in Hiroshima, Japan. Suspended by a handwrought hook and copper chain. Under the dome is a glass globe of the world hovering over the chimes. The sail is in the shape of a tear, to remind us of the destruction that was caused that day and to never let it happen again. The dome, chime tubes, suspension wire and clapper are all 100% pure copper, coated with 2 coats of lacquer for protection. The total length of the chime, from the handwrought copper hook to the bottom of the sail is 32". The 8 -1" chime tubes start at 16" and taper down 10 3/4". The sail is protected by 2 coats of Thompson's Waterseal, 2 coats of teak oil and finished with 2 coats of clear lacquer.
